Environment and Sustainability

ArchiTech is committed to conducting its business in an environmentally aware and responsible manner. With the co-operation of our employees and business partners, we conduct our business practices with minimal environmental impact and to continually monitor and improve where possible. Our policies and initiatives aim to integrate environmental awareness and management into our everyday operations, improve our environment, sustainability, waste management and assist our customers to reduce their environmental footprint through the use of information and communications technology.

Our Sustainability Mission

“To positively impact climate change, by embracing internal sustainability practices and offering circular economy-focused technology solutions and programs to our clients, promoting a greener future for all”

ArchiTech & The Circular Economy

The circular economy is a system that designs out waste and pollution, keeps products and materials in use, and regenerates natural systems. When hardware is no longer needed, those products can be repaired, refurbished, remanufactured, or recycled rather than simply disposed of in a landfill. With circular economy, the entire lifecycle of the product is considered, and as such, this “waste” becomes a renewed resource. This renewed life not only decreases stress on our environment but also brings quality technology to those who may not otherwise have access.The circular economy is based on a model of production and consumption, which involves reusing, repairing, refurbishing, and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.

Our Commitment

ArchiTech demonstrates leadership and commitment to our environmental responsibilities by;

  • Promoting a culture in which all employees share this commitment;

  • Provide information and promotion of environment initiatives to all personnel;

  • Monitoring and compliance with all relevant environmental laws and relevant standards and practices;

  • Maximising the recycling of materials and disposing of waste through safe and responsible methods;

  • Reducing resource emissions from our work operations;

  • Responding to the environmental concerns of our customers and the communities in which we operate;

  • Developing and continually improving our Environmental Management System (EMS) and environmental performance;

  • Committing to attaining and maintaining relevant Environment and Sustainability certifications and accreditations on offer by our supplier partners, facilitating sustainable procurement.

We will endeavour to continually reduce our ecological footprint by;

  • Minimising the production of greenhouse gases through efficient practices of energy usage in the office environment, commuting and use of vehicles;

  • Offsetting all residual greenhouse gas emissions to achieve a carbon neutral organisation;

  • Purchasing with waste avoidance, closing the recycling loop with reduction of environmental impacts in mind;

  • Strive towards zero waste to landfill through waste reduction, reuse and recycling;

  • Minimising the use of water;

  • Engaging with suppliers and stakeholders to reduce the lifecycle impacts of our operations and products;

  • Training and supporting staff to work within the EMS and achieve the desired outcomes.

All our employees have a responsibility to take reasonable care of the environment and to adopt remedial actions where environmental risks are identified.
